2021.12.02 18:18 jasonvoorheessucks My life seems like a complete waste
I am still alive it's just a complete nightmare for me. I often wonder where my life is going. I am in my early 20s and I don't even know how I will survive after college and later on my life. I don't have any skills or talents that makes me unique and special from everybody else. Honestly, my whole life is going nowhere. I am in college studying a useless degree(business) that can't get me anywhere. I am still living with my parents because I don't have stable income to survive on. I don't want to deal with toxic energy from my parents and the way how they behave because it's horrible and kills me mentally. The biggest problem is that I don't know if I have the mental strength to handle children, a wife, a job and every function of life because I seem to be extremely incompetent in life. I am extremely sensitive and I don't I swear to God that I am probably the dumbest and useless person that you would ever meet. This seems embarrassing because it's difficult when I want to move out my parents house and I am not financially stable to do it..

2021.12.02 18:18 DaltonGSG 2000 Texas: Mark Martin finds clean air in the end to win a hectic race in Fort Worth
Jeff Burton sat on pole for this race, making him the sixth different pole sitter in seven races. As Burton quickly got shuffled back, the opening stage turned into a battle between rookie Matt Kenseth and Bobby Labonte. Tony Stewart joined in the fray as both Gibbs cars took turns attacking the lone Roush car. As the two Pontiacs started to fade, it was another rookie, Dale Earnhardt jr. who took the fight to Kenseth, but couldn't quite make a move. In stage number two the veterans came to the forefront as Terry Labonte took the lead in his home state. He would have to hold off an aggressive run from Mark Martin towards the end to hold on for the stage win. Martin quickly took the lead in the final stage, but couldn't hold it as Ricky Rudd and Dale Earnhardt would drive by and reignite their rivalry in a battle for the lead. The back and forth between Rudd and Earnhardt wore out both of their tires and after Earnhardt picked off Rudd, Mark Martin was able to make quick work of both of them and hold on for the win, despite Earnhardt's best efforts, his 34th on the career.
Meanwhile, Rusty Wallace extends the top 5 streak to 7 races and takes an even firmer grasp on the top spot in the standings. Tony Stewart and Jeff Gordon made contact late, leading to both falling outside the top 20.
Stage 1: Kenseth
Stage 2: T Labonte
3 B Labonte
5 R Wallace
6 T Labonte
10 W Burton
13 J Burton
18 Earnhardt jr
25 J Gordon

2021.12.02 18:18 SquigglyHamster I'm taking 7 classes for the spring semester, lol
| The title is a bit clickbaity because I'm technically taking 6 classes for spring semester + 1 short-term class over winter break (but it counts for the spring semester.)|
Why am I doing this to myself? Well, this semester was hell for me and I ended up dropping all but 2 of my classes....And I'm doing quite poorly in them. In order to renew my scholarship, you must take a certain number of credit hours, so I need to jampack my schedule to reach the requirement. And I need to earn an A in all 7 of these classes...Wish me luck.
I'm taking Intermediate Korean 2, Statistics in Psychological Research, Social Psychology, Introduction to Oceanography(online course over winter break), Anthropology, Bowling, and Design Lecture Series
I'm not sure if I'm going to survive. Is $1200 for a whole year really worth the stress of trying to get an A in all 8 of these classes? Idk. But maybe it can be done.

2021.12.02 18:18 what_the_a Question about college dorm mattresses / finding the right combo of mattress and topper.
Okay so this is a bit weird request. Does anyone know what a typical standard issue college dorm mattress would be in terms of firmness? Or materials? My assumption is that it’s firm. I remember it being a heavy vinyl coated slab no more than 8 inches deep.
The backstory: I was trying to think back to the most comfy bed I’ve ever slept in—it was my college dorm bunk bed with a 3 or 4 inch memory foam topper. I went from having the absolute worst sleep of my life to the best once I added the topper. It was so comfy, I slept flat on my back all night with no pain.
Granted I was young, and weighed probably 40lbs less, but Ive had fibromyalgia (chronic widespread body pain) since I was a teenager so for me this was a huge accomplishment even as a 19 year old. Quality sleep is often a huge issue for people with this condition and I’m determined to at least get myself into a comfy bed to remove that obstacle from the equation.
I’m 32 now, 5’5” about 200lbs and haven’t had a bed I truly slept well on since. I’ve seen a lot of people here talk about having luck with a firm mattress and a topper, so I feel like maybe that’s why my dorm bed worked so well for me.
I do prefer to sleep on my back but will often roll to sides when my back starts to hurt. My partner is a side sleeper mostly but literally can fall asleep and stay asleep comfortably anywhere on any mattress and be fine (A quality I envy greatly).
Anyway, if anyone has any other advice, I Would gladly love to hear it!
