Why YSK: Your company views you as a commodity and has an HR team to ensure that the company stays in compliance with all laws and they do not get sued by their possessions. 2021.09.25 20:21 IAmAtHomeBlogging charge controller reporting extremely low wattage all of a sudden, worked fine last week
charge controller (powrmr 60a) is reporting extremely low wattage from my panels, 4x100a hqst cheapos (also, previously the hqst 40a stock charge controller had the same problem in a different way, would give me 50-70 watts in full sun, which is why i replaced it). the powrmr had been working fine, getting almost 300w, but now suddenly its reporting like 12watts, 23watts, reporting like 63v from the panels. the batteries are 12v 100ah x 2, one of the cheap ones on amazon. they charge fine (heelllllla slowly) from my generator - maybe slow enough to not be fine but im not sure what diagnostics to do.
what do you think ? these are my random sample ideas (feel free to ignore if youve got an idea)-- could my battery be dead and causing the issue? i dont have a multimeter, when i get one what diagnostics should i do? is it worth it to run the panels in series? this was hqst's suggestion could the charge controller be the problem and i should try with a 3rd? both seem to be cheap pos. i retried the hqst one the other day, gets almost nothing is it likely my wiring and what type of wiring issues are likely? could it be faulty panels? (the readings from the mppt show the panels are fine im just throwing out ideas)
thanks for any help unfucking myself

2021.09.25 20:21 throwawaysilly1234 Flexdelivery verification
I went to the Canada post post office for the third time in order to try and get my identity verified because all the previous attempts didn’t work. This time, I downloaded the Canada Post app and used the barcode from there and it still didn’t work. For clarification, the whole process goes through smoothly, but when I go onto the app, it still tells me that I need to verify. What can I do? I still have my verification receipt.

2021.09.25 20:21 BlackcombTerry The Spliddit Answers For Questions You Haven't Asked Yet
It's almost that time of year where this place is going to get covered with a lot of the same questions over and over, so let's save some time and answer them now. These answers are primarily based on what the general consensus has been to questions that come up frequently and also influenced by my own experience. Some people's mileage may vary, but consider these answers a good starting point for the discussion. Also, this was written somewhat tongue in cheek.
"What size of board should I buy" - The same size you'd want to ride powder inbounds on. If it's longer or stiffer than you'd want to use to ride a resort on a powder day, you're probably not going to enjoy touring with it. Also, if you wouldn't enjoy riding the trees with it, you probably wouldn't enjoy touring with it (although this might vary depending on the region you tour in).
"What boots should I buy" - Whatever is comfortable for your feet. Boots are probably the least relevant thing to get recommendations for, as everyone's feet are different.
"Do I need to buy splitboarding specific boots/hard boots right away?" - No. They're a nice to have, not an essential. Get everything else first and then get them eventually.
"I can't afford to buy two boards, what if I just use my splitboard inbounds too" - no, for multiple reasons. A splitboard is expensive and you don't want to use of its useful lifespan riding inbounds. Pick up a cheap used board for inbounds if you have to. There are no shortage of used boards out there. Also, regular bindings are way more comfortable to use than splitboarding bindings.
"What kind of binding should I get?" - Half the people here will tell you to get Spark and the other half will tell you to get Karakorum. Both groups think the other half are completely wrong. In reality with how supply and demand is going to be, you should probably buy whatever you can find.
"I use Union inbounds, so obviously I should go with them for touring too, right?" - As someone that has multiple pairs of Unions for riding inbounds, let me just say... see above.
"I'm thinking about getting snowshoes instead of a splitboard" - Just realize that snowshoes are much worse in many different ways. For climbing you won't benefit from following a skin track and instead need to set your own track, which is more tiring. They are less efficient with every step you take. You need to climb with your board strapped to your pack, which is heavy and awkward, and then ride down with your snowshoes strapped to your pack. You'll likely spend money on snowshoes only to turn around and then spend more money buying a splitboard, so save a step and go the splitboard route. Plus most avalanche courses will require you to be on skis/splitboard.
"I'm thinking about making my own DIY splitboard" - There is no good reason to do so anymore now that manufactured splitboards are so widely available. Go for it if your standards of the riding and splitting performance are low, you have all the tools, you like challenge, and you know it won't ride very well. Buy an actual splitboard if even moderate levels of performance and/or having an inside edge is important. If you don't know why having an inside edge is important, take our word for it that it is.
"What size of this specific model should I get" - That has likely already been answered here. Google it.
"Are there brands other than Jones that make splitboards?" - Believe it or not but yes there are.
"Any tips for waxing?" - Separate into skis. Wax. Scrape really good so it doesn't stick to the skins.
"Thoughts on skin savers?" - Leave them at home. You don't need them on hill, they only slow you down. Also, take the bag your probe came in and leave that at home too.
"What brand of skins should I buy?" - The brand is less significant to the purchasing decision than the type (glide/universal/grip).
"Skins - should I go with grip vs glide" - In addition to glide skins gliding better, they also usually weigh less and pack better. If you have any level of experience, go with glide. If you're newish, go with universal. If you're buying skins for a friend and you want to be faster than them, buy them grip skins.
"Poles - should I go with telescoping or Z-shaped?" - Both have upsides and downsides. Go with what floats your boat. Folding are more convenient, telescoping are stronger. If you go with the Black Diamond Z poles, there is no question that you will break them eventually. But they'll be really damn convenient every day until then.
"What size of pack should I get for single day trips?" - 30ish L. Yes you could probably squeeze it all in to something smaller, but you don't want to rely on packing each item perfectly in order to get it all in there.
"What pack should I get?" - There are a lot of great options out there. Some essential features you'll probably really appreciate include specific pocket for shovel and probe, rear or side access to the main compartment, helmet carry, hip belt pockets for quick access to snacks and other small essentials, board and/or ski (A-frame ) carry. Pick any touring-specific pack and you're probably looking at a good product, so go with something that fits your body well.
"Is there a minimum snowboarding ability level I should be to splitboard?" - The backcountry is not a place for lower level riders and is definitely not the place to be to learn how to ride. in order to be prepared to handle whatever surprises might come your way in the backcountry, comfortably being able to ride off-piste at a resort on black terrain would be a good minimum. Expect to encounter a range of terrain, snow condition, & visibility, and doing so while wearing a pack and riding with tired legs. If you're not great at riding black off-piste terrain in-bounds, take a lesson or two before venturing out of bounds. A lack of ability in off-piste terrain risks the safety of your touring partners.

2021.09.25 20:21 jzhang396 Why does SCHY have a volatility screen and SCHD doesn’t?
Looking at the S&p Global documents for the underlying indices (U.S dividend 100 and international dividend 100here) SCHD doesn’t have a volatility screen, and SCHY does.
Why is this? Wouldn’t a volatility constraint limit upside and prevent good picks that would otherwise be in the index? Would like to hear thoughts and opinions.
